MASCULINE MODERN UPDATE

We are excited to share with you our latest project! Owner and lead interior designer, Clarissa Rigby, came into this project with a blank canvas. Our client had purchased a brand new home and needed help to establish his style and to fill his space with pieces that would really fit his lifestyle and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Clarissa knew she wanted to have a masculine modern feel to all of the spaces. She re-designed the main living space, as well as the master bathroom and closet.

The bones of this house were already beautiful with high ceilings, unique archways, and rich dark floors. Our client really just needed us to make it into a warm and inviting home.

Clarissa wanted to start by swapping some of the builder grade lights and by upgrading the ceiling fans.

From there she began layering beautiful rugs, timeless furniture, and custom artwork.

The main inspiration for the living space was an art piece we commissioned from a local artist. Chance James knocked it out of the park with the three pieces he made for this home. We tied the color scheme into the dining room and living room.

“Our client loves to entertain so we wanted to create pockets where great conversations could happen. Between the dining table, custom barstools, and an intimate conversation corner it is the perfect entertaining set up.”

While entertaining, a big part of keeping guests happy is refreshments. Clarissa wanted to create a custom heirloom piece that would not look like any other bar. She worked with JM cabinets out of Fresno California to design and create this perfect piece. We really love all of the little details and we absolutely LOVE how it turned out.

To finish this space out, we designed and built custom shelving to add more texture and dimension to an otherwise plain space.

The next area we tackled was the master bathroom. Before we came in, the design was very cookie cutter and our client was desiring something with more interest. By adding a masculine grass cloth wallpaper, tall vanity mirrors, and new modern vanity lighting it really took the bathroom to a more boutique feel. To add more interest, our designer created a custom metal and glass shelving unit to add functionality and style to an otherwise empty space.  We layered beautiful rugs, artwork, accessories and added a beautiful drum pendant light to really finish the space.

Our last room that we designed was the master closet. We love how it turned out! Before it was very white, very bare, and the functionality was minimal. Our interior designer wanted to create a dream closet that would be an oasis our client could enjoy everyday. Keeping in line with the masculine and modern feel, she designed a two tone custom closet that has doubled the functionality of this closet.

“By adding a beautiful rug, a standing mirror, an upholstered bench, and a gorgeous photography piece, we were really able to make the space feel warm and inviting in an unexpected way.”
